"Dr. Stephanie is very thorough and truly wants to make sure her patients succeed. She does some very cool hands on stretching and provides exercises that are attainable and doable, even as a mom! That meaning I got 3 exercises to do to help with my issue, and the recommendation to do them about 3 times a week. Dr. Stephanie definitely takes life into account when recommending care."

Pelvic Physiotherapy is a specialized area of practice that focuses on the bowl-shaped muscles at the bottom of the pelvis “the pelvic floor”. Over 80% of women will suffer from pelvic muscle dysfunction in their lifetime. Muscle imbalances in the pelvic floor can contribute to embarrassing symptoms.
Treatment approaches are individualized based on your needs and may include orthopedic physical therapy approaches including hands on manual therapy, soft tissue massage, internal pelvic floor muscle treatment, biofeedback, pelvic floor muscle training "kegels", generalized strengthening, postural correction and education. You will receive a home exercise program that will be updated each session as you are able to progress. Individuals who are consistent with their home program see results sooner. We recommend one session per week for 6-10 weeks, depending on diagnosis and evaluation findings. |
