OUR MISSION
The Inertia Mission
To guide the healing process by integrating evidence-based, specialized treatments to improve function and decrease pain. We empower patients with the knowledge, tools, and strategies to lead a healthy lifestyle free of dysfunction that they can utilize throughout their lifetime. Inertia emphasizes collaboration with medical providers ensuring all patients are screened for dysfunction, are provided resources about treatment, and to deliver access to care in undeserved communities. Our strong community presence encourages individuals who identify symptoms to seek care, and to increase comfort when discussing normal body functions with their doctor and in regular conversation.
The Inertia Vision
To provide best practice physical therapy services specific to the needs of individuals suffering from pelvic muscle dysfunction. Our clinic will provide an atmosphere conducive to healing and building a partnership of trust and autonomy with every patient. Our practice will train and mentor passionate physical therapists to provide high quality care as our practice grows, with leadership development to facilitate opening clinics in under served areas. Therapists will work closely with health care providers to provide a continuum of care facilitating better recovery with long term individual and societal benefits.
Our Core Values
We practice by the 7 Core Values of the profession:
Accountability is active acceptance of the responsibility for the diverse roles, obligations, and actions of the physical therapist including self‐regulation and other behaviors that positively influence patient outcomes, the profession, and the health needs of society.
Altruism is the primary regard to the interest of patients, thus assuming the responsibility of placing the needs of patients ahead of the physical therapist’s self‐interest.
Collaboration is working together with patients, families, communities, and professionals in health and other fields to achieve shared goals. Collaboration between staff members to achieve optimal services and outcomes for patients and clients.
Compassion and Caring Compassion is the desire to identify with or sense something of another’s experience; Caring is the concern, empathy, and consideration for the needs and values of others.
Duty is the commitment to meeting one’s obligations to provide effective physical therapist services to patients, to serve the profession, and to positively influence the health of society.
Excellence occurs when the physical therapist consistently uses current knowledge and skills while understanding personal limits, integrating the patient perspective, embracing advancement, and challenging mediocrity.
Integrity is adherence to high ethical principles or standards, being truthful, ensuring fairness, following through on commitments, and verbalizing to others the rationale for actions.
Social responsibility is the promotion of a mutual trust between the profession and the larger public that necessitates responding to societal needs for health and wellness.
